Back Home

1-Thailand

This morning 09:30 landed back home after a smooth flight. Jet-lagged of course. It´s cold (2°C), wet and dark. No palm trees here.

Two days later it's freezing and snowing.

Goodbye Asia...

1-Thailand

After spending five wondeful days on Ko Si Chang, I'm back in Bangkok getting ready for the big jump home this Friday night. At this point in time it seems going home takes more courage than leaving home did. Ever since Chiang Mai I've felt that the journey home had begun and I became somewhat restless with that. However both Sukhothai and Ko Si Chang were wonderful places to restore my calm.

Now I'm in Bangkok with just one more night to go and it seems unreal. My expectations about returning home as well as my mood change with the hour. Very much looking forward to seeing friends and relatives, but in no way eager to get out of Thailand or Asia.

At this point I would like to thank the many kind people that have helped me on the way with their hospitality, their friendship, or otherwise. After returning home I intend to report in more detail about the last phase of the trip and the places visited.

Take Care, until we meet again...
